“To know wisdom, and instruction”

We’d like to kick of the blogging side of Solomon Success with a tribute to the first parable in The Book of Proverbs, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the first of Jason Hartman’s 10 Commandments of Successful Investing, “Thou shalt become educated.” Solomon used the word “instruction.” Jason chose “educated” but the intent remains the same.

Unless something off-the-wall happens like you buy a winning lottery ticket (please tell us you’re not relying on that method to strike it rich), there’s a good chance you’ll never find the wealth you desire with becoming educated first. Wisdom starts with recognizing what you don’t know and taking steps to rectify the situation. When it comes to modern day investing, it means get your eyes off the braying, cowbell ringing commentators on the idiot box known as television, ignore the Kool-Aid drinking advice of your stock broker, and learn how to control your own investment assets.

Don’t blame yourself completely if your elementary, high school, and college financial education was pitiful. Most schools don’t have a clue how or what to teach about this critical topic. Just guessing, but we’d say the mishandling and misunderstanding of money and investing leads to a lot of the heartache circulating in the world today. That’s why we’re taking it back to the original master of wisdom, King Solomon of the Old Testament.

Hopefully, we’ve convinced you that educating yourself on finances and investing is crucial. So what should you do now? Stay tuned to the upcoming Solomon Success podcast hosted by Jason Hartman and the blog you’re reading right now. We’ll be posting new entries several times a week. Get ready to learn how to invest in the asset proven throughout history to be a wealth-generating juggernaut.

In these cases, people perceive that they have ‘strikes’ against their prospects for success.
