How the believer keeps business in it’s place

SolomonSuccess.comWhile the Bible exhorts us to work hard and achieve financial success in order to provide for our families, it also reminds us that success in business is not the reason we were put on this earth. Believers should take care to keep this in mind, and not put the cart before the horse. While 1 Timothy 5:8 tells us that we are worse than unbelievers if we don’t provide for our families, it is righteousness, not riches, that should be the goal.

Here’s another little gem to keep in mind when it comes to financial success, courtesy of Proverbs 11:4. “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath. But righteousness delivers from death.” Let’s boil it down to figure out how to prioritize or life and business. You absolutely are charged by God to work hard so that your family has enough but the ultimate goal in financial success is righteousness.

These two ideas might seem to be at odds but they aren’t really. When you use common sense, you know that you can throw yourself wholeheartedly into business and seek profit according to biblical principles, but realize that there is an “off” button. You don’t need to work 24/7 to provide for your families. If you’re working that hard and not making ends meet, you’re doing something seriously wrong and need to check out the investing principles at our sister website JasonHartman.com immediately.

Financial success can and will be yours, but don’t make it at the expense of your family, morals, and beliefs.

At least we’re fairly certain the good King wasn’t carrying around an American Airlines Suckercard…er…we meant to say Mastercard, during his travels. The Bible doesn’t mention airline reward points in one single, solitary instance, which leads us to the obvious conclusion that it wasn’t a good deal then either!
